Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VoltaRaffel platform ("Platform"), operated by VoltaServices Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 16178827), with ICO Registration Number ZB874097 ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

  • "Organiser" means any individual or business that creates and manages raffles on the Platform.
  • "Entrant" means any individual who purchases an entry to a raffle.
  • "Raffle" means a prize draw listed on the Platform by an Organiser.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By registering an account or entering a raffle, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

4. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Raffle Entries

  • All raffle entries are processed via Stripe. By purchasing an entry, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable once the payment has been confirmed, unless required by law.
  • The number of entries per person is determined by the Organiser and displayed on the raffle page.
  • We reserve the right to void entries that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.

6. Raffle Draws

  • Winners are selected at random, either manually by the Organiser or automatically by the Platform at a scheduled time.
  • Winners will be notified by email and, where enabled, by SMS.
  • Prize fulfilment is the sole responsibility of the Organiser. VoltaServices Ltd acts as the platform provider and is not responsible for the delivery, quality, or availability of prizes.

7. Organiser Responsibilities

  • Organisers are responsible for ensuring their raffles comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Gambling Act 2005 where applicable.
  • Organisers must accurately describe prizes and honour the terms of their raffles.
  • Organisers are responsible for managing winner claims and prize delivery.
  • Subscription fees for Organiser accounts are billed according to the selected tier and are non-refundable except as required by law.

8. Payments

All payments are processed through Stripe on behalf of VoltaServices Ltd. We do not store card details. Organiser payouts are handled manually by VoltaServices Ltd and are subject to verification.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to manipulate raffle outcomes.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent entry limits.
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or security.
  • Upload or transmit harmful content, including malware.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including the Voltage design system, logos, and software, is owned by VoltaServices Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoltaServices Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of information provided by Organisers.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, any outstanding raffle entries remain valid until the relevant draw takes place.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
